Shazam can now detect songs from other apps: How it works
According to official release notes, Shazam users can now use the app to identify songs playing on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Users can now simply open the Shazam app, tap the Blue button and switch back to the app where the music was playing.
With the new feature, users can do much more than just find the songs from some’s Reels or a random song from a YouTube video. Users also have the option to tag a song that automatically adds it to their Shazam playlist and also keeps a log of all the tagged songs.
Shazam has received several new features since Apple acquired it. The app received the integration for Control Centre on iOS for faster access and the ability to easily find the songs. Apart from that Apple also added quick settings integration on Android as well.
The app is available on both Android and iOS and is free to download.
